AlWefaq need to stop walking out everytime things go against it. If the rest of the parliament, by supporting the government, are pissing them off, then they need to sit in there and ensure a miserable time for their opponents. Stop being crybabies” what do you want a cookie?” , we all knew its gonna be tough, so Alwefaq needs to figure out a better strategy, as it seems, withdrawing is to the benefit of their rivals.
ps. Mohammed Khaled should have some sharee3a applied on his ass. See how he likes that.

The more I read about this parliament, the more i get the sense that democracy doesn’t work if people lack the political maturity to elect socially and politically responsible people.

Ofcourse, there is no proof that these MPs truly represent the people. Especially with the general voting centers, refusal of international monitoring and all.

I think at this point, everyone following Bahraini politics is going into a deep state of frustration. Some of us even stopped reading the news.

Sorry if this sounds ignorant, but I read the Arabic paragraph twice, both times failing to understand the gist of it. So bottom line the interrogation cannot happen because it violates something. It’s either that my Arabic is really bad or that this whole thing is nonsense. It interfers with Judicial Powers? And what is it about the timing I don’t get it?

Here in Egypt last month, the big protest over the new constitutional amendments was “don’t vote” and parlimentarians walking out in protest. How the hell does anyone expect a democracy to work if they don’t f-ing use it! I’m sure a lot of folks don’t think their vote counts, (like we did in the US in 2000) but I would certainly be asking questions of the reps who decided to do nothing here. I’m not even sure of all the particularities here, but you’re right – it stinks. Btw, “stench” – that’s good.
