we’r still not sure whether its 2moro or sat here in melbourne. everyone has a diff answer!! but we’ll probably go with the lebanese and just celebrate it on sat..

Eid Mubarak to you too, Mahmood! And Eid Mubarak to the entire Muslim nation.

Here in Oman it’s been announced since yesterday (28th of Ramadhan) that Eid would be on Saturday the 13th of Oct. This year, the committee of lunar vision decided not to hold a meeting for moon sighting because astronomers have stated that it would be 100% impossible to see the new moon of Shawal today, because it would disappear before sunset by 6 minutes. So, Oman is relying to that and announced since yesterday that Eid is on Sat. I find that a bit weird & unusual. However, it saved the huge hassle of meeting up for moon sighting and so on..
