African tribe wood carving

African tribe statue

African tribe statue, originally uploaded by malyousif.

I know it’s later than usual for the Friday picture, but I hope you understand. I’ve spent the whole day working in my garden :)

This shot was by my son Arif who apparently commandeered my camera. I downloaded some pictures to be surprised by a few in there I didn’t take. I am impressed and do like the composition. There is hope that the son will exceed the father in love of photography!

Have a wonderful weekend my friends.

I love it. The composition, shooting angle, and depth-of-field are excellent.
Did you do any post processing?

Apart from resizing, I didn’t do anything. I agree that it’s quite good.

Perhaps I’m being rude, but I feel your stills
are stronger than your videos, Mahmood.
    This one is a goody.

Oh gawd, there goes any discount on a
Flashmic. Me and my big mouth.

When I find pictures on the camera that were taken by my children, they are typically photos documenting fights between the dog and the ferret, photos documenting tricks played upon siblings (surprise ceramic throne shots, bare buns, and torture – saliva boarding no less) etc.

    Nicely composed photo!

No no, you can still get your discount on that lovely mic, regardless of your critique of my art work!

Nonetheless, this particular picture is Arif’s not mine; hence by inference, now you’re saying that my son’s photography beats the crap out of mine!

    NOW your discount is gone!

I no longer need the discount. That was
priceless. Take your hat off to your
    son, O Tubby Tech Vendor!

that’s beautiful bokeh for 5.6f! Is that the older EF 50mm doing it’s magic?

Nah, even more basic than that. It’s the EFS 18-55mm, the standard kit lens with the 20D.
