Pangea Day

Pangea Day - the Earth comes together

Pangea Day is a global event bringing the world together through film.

Why? In a world where people are often divided by borders, difference, and conflict, it’s easy to lose sight of what we all have in common. Pangea Day seeks to overcome that – to help people see themselves in others – through the power of film.

For the next 4 hours, the world will be one, in film and art. Please watch and support Pangea Day. It’s being broadcast now on Star World.

  1. I watched the first 10 minutes, then had to switch channels before I threw up my dinner. This event was just another elitist feel good attempt at putting their naive consciences to rest. Why didn’t they host the show in Iran, or Tibet, or N. Korea, or Sudan, or Zimbabwe, or that new hope for mankind, China? Or maybe move the venue to N. East India,,,,,,,,anyone think the Maoists there would sing and clap along with our big happy campfire party?
And Christiane Amanpour??? Oh my goodness, I think she is the president of the “excuse me, I am so sorry that I am white and come from a hard working and prosperous country” club…..

Seriously folks, the world is not, and never will be, “one big happy family”.

  2. Mike, change that bed, you keep coming off it on the wrong side.

Christiane is actually of Persian descent and has a quite a full and colourful like that I don’t think she needs to be “excused for being white”.

  3. I’m glad I watched it.

Thank god for dreambox! I didn’t even know I had Star World in my channel line up!

  4. wish i would have seen this sooner. not sure if we get the channel, but it would have been nice to watch it if so.
