Pomegranate from my garden

Pomegranate from my garden, originally uploaded by malyousif.

I’m not that of a fanatic when it comes to pomegranates, I do like them sometimes, but when it comes from your own garden the story is completely different of course!

Even when the thing is more sour than a lemon, it does taste delicious. At least the first few handfuls and then your eyes start blinking rather rapidly!

I like the pictures though. Have a wonderful Friday and weekend my friends.

  1. I have to agree that anything you grow would taste better.
Don’t forget to save some for me :)

  3. Nice, Mahmood! We cannot get pomegranates to fruit here, it’s too cool year round so the fruits drop off before they even mature. Is that a yellow variety, rather than the usual red?

  4. It’s white and as sour as a lemon! Although this has been in our garden since we bought the house, this is the first year the fruit is of a size that could actually be tucked into!

I’m going to leave the others on the tree for a while before harvesting the rest. I hope they will be a little sweeter for the effort.
