Elevator or Calculator?

Elevator or Calculator?

Elevator or Calculator?, originally uploaded by malyousif.

Believe me, this is not a calculator. forget the minus sign and even the decimal point, this is our building’s elevator control panel.

No. We don’t have fractional floors and we don’t have a Harry Potter within our offices list, more importantly, we only have 2 floors with a third really nothing more than the roof. So why the hell do they have to install a moronic thing like this in our building? Moronic!

This is the brainfart that I have to press every time I need to get to my office, day in and day out!

Yeah I’ve seen that to in a building near by with just 2 floors. Very strange design. We are so used to the other standard methods this one just messes with our brain. What is weird check out the company name that made it. It looks German or something.

maybe the owner got a special offer or something… who knows, but I tell you what, other than the moronic control panel, the bloody doors have a mind of their own and can and do clamp you in if you don’t get in or out fast enough! It’s a demon lift!

In all fairness in does *look* pretty cool. It also looks as though it should have a speaker that says “Access Denied” in a feminine voice when you punch in the wrong numbers.

If you hit the right combination while traveling between floors…you can affect the time space continuum (?) …the wrong combination…you plummet…2 floors.

Oh yes it does, we actually have 26 and 3/4 floors under ground I discovered, THAT’S why we have such a control panel! :D

I hate all the “futuristic” lifts you see these days.

It took me a while to work out how to use Financial Harbour & Almoayed Tower lifts.

I much prefer the old traditional lifts that have sliding cage doors

I got so confuses with those as well, but I like them, at least now you don’t get morons pressing both the up and down button “so the lift comes faster”

Does it say “Access Denied” in a feminine voice if you hit the wrong combination…?

I’m glad it doesn’t. if it had, I’m sure we’ll all suffer as a bloody pervert will be hitting all the combinations to continue to listen to such a voice!

Have you considered that it’s purpose is to keep the technically illiterate on the ground and off the upper floors, where the technorati ascend to laugh at the damned people below? It’s not a control panel, it’s a cipher lock.
