New Plumeria

18 Sep, '09

I bought this new king of plumeria from a garden centre this morning and promptly found a place for it in my garden.

Plumeria

I have no idea what type of plumeria it is. You could clearly see that it’s leaves are a bit “weird” and unlike any frangipani I have seen before. The garden centre didn’t have the Latin name (of course) so it should be fun trying to properly identifying it. If you could help, please enter a comment with my thanks.

Have a wonderful and peaceful weekend my friends.

ehm: identified as Plumeria Pudica, reportedly one of the best you can get. I’ll reserve judgment for a while if you don’t mind. I’m pretty partial to most kinds of Plumerias so I’ll see how this one fairs.

It’s Plumeria Pudica I found it on wikipedia. I bought 2 as well from a nursery and they have it named Plumeria Mini, apparently to not let other garden centers get the name and have it in their nursery “according to the guy who works there”!

It will look really nice in few yrs like a big bush.. I love plumerias they are my favorite trees 🙂

Which nursery was it Ibrahim? And did you have yours for a while so you can post pictures?

With its distinctive leaves, it wasn’t that difficult to identity it on the Internet. I just hope that mine – in a few years’ time – will look as glorious as some of the pictures I’ve seen.
