Plumeria pudica
The “Bridal Bouquet” plumeria. First flowering!
Happy Friday everyone.
Indian Silverbills in my garden
Little birds looking like finches to my untrained eyes visiting my garden this afternoon.
These lovely birds have been identified as Indian Silverbills by Birdman Howard King. Many thanks Hiward!
Have a wonderful weekend my friends.
Gentle Waves
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the beach. Shot early this morning.
Desert Rose
This is the first time EVER this adenium flower, I’m so excited as the plants are actually in the garden in a bed rather than a pot where I usually have them.
I really hope they will also flourish.
I got a few of these as a generous gift by Dr. Jean who raised them from seed! A venerable feat to be sure.
Have a lovely weekend my friends.
Bougainvillea
i got fed up with the background I was using, so I went out and shot another one. You like?
If you want the high resolution, get the larger view with my compliments.
Have a wonderful weekend my friends.
Christmas Cacti
About 6 or so weeks too late this year, but at least they flowered.
My wife bought these plants and they reside in her kitchen. They started budding a couple of weeks ago when – finally – the weather turned a bit cooler. They’re now rewarding us with these huge double flowers.
Have a wonderful weekend my friends.
Funky seats by the pool
I wasn’t very sure of these seats at first. I put them in the office in the balcony for the staff to have a nice relaxing space, unfortunately that didn’t work. They complained that they belonged more at a nursery than an office!
We’ll, it’s their loss. I moved them since to our pool deck and I must say that they’re starting to grow on me.
These Finn Stone seats are sold by Nola Concept (disclosure, it’s owned by my sister) in the A’ali Mall.
Whatever you decide to do, I hope you have a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing weekend my friends.
Coming in to land…
The bees seem to really love the tropical hydrangea.
Have a wonderful weekend my friends.
Peacock Orchid (Gladiolus Callianthus)
One of the most beautiful flowers in my garden, coming into bloom again for the 2nd year, and doubled or tippled since last year too! I guess there is an advantage of keeping bulbs where they are rather than digging them up!
Have a wonderful Friday and continued long weekend my friends.
Dombeya (Tropical Hydrangea)
If you know me you probably know how much I love hydrangeas and my abject failure in trying to get them to grow in Bahrain. This, my friends, is the substitute and it’s growing well in my garden. This is in it’s second year now.
Have a wonderful Friday everyone.
