  1. Hasan in Japan

Quite a game, huh! I was disappointed Czech took it easy and didnt score a fourth and a fifth. *sigh*

Iran and Japan were both disappointing – – I dunno, I have a feeling Bahrain would have done a better job.

Czech is now officially my new favorite team.

Hasan, you’re nostalgic and missing home.. but there is no way that the Bahraini squad, much as I love them, would have had any impact. I shudder to think of the real fallout had they played Sweden instead of T&T the other night… we would have been right royally screwed!

“On each of the last two times Europe put on football’s biggest party, the US finished bottom of their group, losing to Germany, Iran and Yugoslavia in 1998 and the Czechs, Italy and Austria in 1990. Their previous excursion to the continent for FIFA World Cup combat also ended disastrously when they lost 7-1 to the host nation in the Italy 1934 tournament’s preliminary round and set sail for home. ”

1934 huh? Really reaching there like we might have been a threat somewhere along the line. All I gotta say is the REAL Czech hockey team better look out cause we’ll kick their….I meant the real Czech FOOTBAll team better look out cause we might be able to whip their butts! Maybe.

Oz simply outplayed the Japs. They should have won 3-0. Even the ref admits he got it wrong on the Jap goal.

The US can pack their bags now. They were attrocious. Especially how much space they gave the Czechs in the first goal. But for Koller’s injury they could easily have been 4-5 up at the end.

Italy do what Italy always do. Just enough to win. Ghana wasted chances.

I haven’t seen a beating that bad since Rodney King. You can see why goalkeepers hate the ball their using too. The US tried the same game that Iran used against Mexico with identical results. They better bring something to the Italy game if only to redeem themselves. I’d like to see Czech over Brazil for the final.

Soccer isn’t that big a deal in the U.S. Mostly for people with no talent at anything else.

    Sour grapes!

How foolish the rest of the World are to think that any game
that the Americans cannot win is signifcant, eh? ;^)
