Resting on a rock by his pond this afternoon. Really glad that he survived the insecticide profusely used by the bug people a couple of weeks ago. At least 2 or 3 other frogs died because of it and so did several fish. You would think that they would think about what they would use to reduce the effect of the poison if they see animals and pond life, wouldn’t you?
Have a wonderful weekend my friends.

Considering the high regard concern for humans is taken in this part of the world, what are but a bunch of little critters. Before SPCA, we should have SPCH (Society for the prevention of cruelty to humans)
How very true my friend. Only when we respect each other and never simply stand-by while we see our compatriots in the human race be mercilessly subjugated, will we rise to respect everything else in our environment. For the moment, it is everyone to his own.
It’s insecticide. It kills living things. We are all made of the the same hydrocarbons, the same basic nucleic acids, the same building blocks of life. We want to casually exteminate some species and we get all surprised when the poisons kill other creatures. I sincerely hope this post of yours was to spark debate. Surely your aggrieved tone cannot be genuine.
There’s a nest of those tiny ants in my building. In the summer months I get a few in my kitchen. They don’t go beyond my kitchen and they do no harm. I make sure my kitchen is sqeaky clean and then they stay off my surfaces. No need for poisons.
Me? I’m looking for a harmless way to repel spiders. British friends fear an invasion back home and, being slightly arachnophobic, I feel sympathy and want to help. Any suggestions?
