Dwarf Ixora

Dwarf Ixora

I like these new kinds of Ixoras we’ve got recently in Bahrain, there flowers are quite nice and miniature, they would add a nice splash of colour to any surround. I’ve got some in pots and others in borders; both work equally well.

I’ll be traveling for tonight, so have fun and I’ll see you when I come back…

Have a wonderful Friday guys!

Passion Flowers!

Passion Flower

Passion Flower’s side view, originally uploaded by malyousif.

They’ve at last opened this morning, but only after I had left for work. My wife called me about 9am and told me that they have actually opened, FOUR of them all together!

I was thrilled so much that I just HAD to get back home (ok, 5 minutes down the road since the office move!) and take a few pictures of my first ever passion flowers!

Me very happy 🙂

Thanks Patty!

Look what Patty sent over all the way from San Diago! I live in hope that one day, my front porch will look even marginally as beautiful as hers’!.

Seeds sent over by Patty Pybus

Sean brought them over as he is on a short business trip to Bahrain, and thankfully he could spare a little while to have a quick coffee, an occasion that I hope that we will both repeat every time he comes back to Bahrain! A new tradition!!

Thanks to both of you. Frances and I hope that you will find a few days to spend in Bahrain again very very soon.

I’ll plant these seeds with love and keep updating you on how they come along.

Thought some of you would like to see where those zinnias are in my garden… this is one border that I have been working on and as you can see, it looks pretty.

Enjoy your Friday!

Red Double Hibiscus originally uploaded by malyousif

I’ve just bought two of these plants a few days ago (cuttings) and replanted them in big pots placed at the front door of our house. I’m glad to see that they not only survived, but already flowered brilliantly!

Have a wonderful Good Friday and Happy Easter everyone.
