iTunes for Windows :: Rock ON Baby!

I downloaded iTunes from Apple a couple of days ago, and that signalled the end of my use of MusicMatch which I have been using for as long as I can remember. Talk about neat, talk about class, talk about usability!

I wish all Windows applications were that classy… and yes I’m considering getting one of those ultra-sexy PowerBooks… after a few trips with my Dell C840, I’ve definitely got one arm longer than the other!

Change of heart? No, just drooling and dreaming and waiting for Dell to do what they do best, ripping off the best of Apple’s ideas! 🙂

Hold on hold on.. I have to sit down for this one! Mahmood praising anything by Apple? AND wanting a PowerBook as well? What’s next.. OS X over Linux?!?! Surely not…

Seriously though, isn’t iTunes fantastic? With the music sharing over the network I bet Amna, Hanan and Arif are making fun of each other’s music taste!

Ah but with qualification Hani, with qualification! 😉

I don’t use iTunes for sharing though, what I use is NetJuke on my Linux server at home.

    I’ve digitized 2891 Tracks, 486 Artists in 274 Albums totaling 211 hours 38 minutes and 16 seconds in 37 genres in 11.39GB!

So now everyone in the house can listen to their own music and create their own shared/private playlists.

Here’s a good how-to if you want to install NetJuke on the Mitel SME server (e-Smith), and although it’s done for version 5 of SME, I have successfully installed it on SME 6beta3.
