I don’t have the stats for the early months, I changed the stats engine some time ago, but it’s been increasing a lot and I keep asking myself why? To me what I write certainly does not have merit for a Pulitzer prize, but I guess it must be interesting enough for people to come back often and for new visitors to add me to their blogroll or bookmarks. Thank you all so very much for your support.

I’ve discovered a fantastic place for shawarmas.. BurgerLand in Jid Haffs is reportedly the best shawarma stand anywhere in Bahrain, I know I enjoy their chicken shawarma and have tried quite a few without any food poinoning!
Still waiting for you to join me in a shootout between Grill Land and Burger Land on your visit!

Well, I hope u noted the hint of sarcasm in the last post. I do not question your intentions. You seem like a humorous open-minded kind of guy, but your attitude to Islamists (of which I largely share) has shown irresponsibility in that you are publicising them unnecessarily, beguiling the readers from more serious isssues. Maybe it was just an emotional response on your behalf. At the end of the day its your blog so you choose what goes on it and what is to be discussed.

No I don’t check the IP addresses habitually, but I remembered yours from our other discussions, plus Xaraya displays this information for the administrators only – so no worries there. BUT, even without checking your IP, I would have recognised your style of writing if it was hidden right in the middle of a Shakespear play!
I don’t think I was irrisponsible at all in highlighting my feelings towards the various events the Islamists have penetrated or made their own.
Sure it’s my blog and as you said as a personal on-line diary, I can write what I wish. However I do recognise the fact that it is an interactive medium and that by itself has enriched these pages much more than I could hope for. I have found some of the comments reasonable and beneficial, while others simply inflamatory.
Which way do I go? If I go “with a trend” without conviction then I would betray myself more than anybody else.., so my feelings are the same about the subjects we discussed, I have had no argument to convince me otherwise. If and when I do, I hope that I will be brave enough to embrace it and recognise that I was wrong.

I will bow to you great knowledge on the shawarmas and accept your challenge for a shawarma eating shootout. Call The GDN, Arab News, Okaz, Tribune and a few others and let the copius shawarma eating commence! I don’t believe I have had the honour of eating shawarma at Burger Land. In fact I have never been to Burger Land for that matter. Been by it many times and I could drive there with no problem from almost anypoint on the Island. It is a land mark in my mind. As soon as I am able to escape from the medical induced obsticle laced issues that seem to be HAUNTING me of late I will be arriving in Bahrain, golf clubs in tow and HUNGRY for some local food!
Food poisoning be damned! Just have the nearest watering hole ready after the shootout! If you run into my dear mother ask her about my food poisoning experiance in Bahrain a few years ago. After that I can EAT ANYTHING!!!
