what is really happening to the country I came from,first it becomes a Kingdom and then the wahabis win a majority of the seats in parliament.
are we going back to the middle ages?
what has happend to the most liberal nation in the Arab world? I cant stop wondering what is happening next? chop-chop or are they going to impose a dress code law.
I dont know why the people of Bahrain voted for these fanatics in the first place, this just shows how naive the people are.
I am happy that I left before it was too late.

Steve, I think taking out Bahrain’s salafist MPs might be going a little far. There would be a certain irony though if their HQ ended up being destroyed in a huge car bomb.

Evolution! I am convinced this is what is actually happening here. All is not lost (ok, I’m in one of my optimistic moods today :)) it might get worst, but the repercussions that will happen will send the closed-minding people you’re talking about so far down the hole that they might never come up for air again.
We just need to make sure that our (moderates) voice is heard as well so that the pendulum doesn’t swing to their wishes and ignore ours.

When Wahhabis come to power, the state is devolving, not evolving. Mere talk is not going to stop the Wahhabi headcutters. They don’t do dialogue. They cannot be reasoned with. You have to kill them. The longer you delay, the worse it will get.

whats with the dress code rallies at uob? sure everyones got their freedom of expression – well done in that of course… but u’re not going anywhere if u think that about 60 students can impose such an ‘issue’ like the dress code one upon more than 16,000 students………
so lets see what’s been happening:
-gender segregation – another ‘sensible’ educational advancement?
-plastic fetish – call to ban mannequins from shop displays
-dress code rallies – cover up or else…… yea whateva’
-the death penalty….. in Bahrain? Walla! Oh La La……
