My company, Computer Point is hiring. We need an electronics/computer engineer and a salesman immediately.
If you’re interested, contact me. I’m afraid these positions are only available for Bahrainis.
Other conditions apply.

Computer Point is Hiring

Do you realize with these words in a HELP WANTED ad in the US you would be probably be picketed by mobs of angry illegal aliens, investigated by the EEOC and the Justice Department for Civil Rights violations and probably have an accounting rectal type exam by the IRS. Not to mention what the petter heads on the State and Local level might try to pile on just for good measure.
I suspect close to the same might happen in more than a few European nations as well.
Just food for thought!
Re: Computer Point is Hiring
Except that the U.S. federal, state and municipal governments along with certain government contractors and businesses dealing in critical information (e.g. many high-level tech companies) are exempt from these rules. Try being a non-citizen in D.C. and find a job that doesn’t require U.S. citizenship or top security clearances! Especially in the IT field.

So since I was born in Bahrain but raised in the US does that allow me to apply? Or what is the rule on a true “bahraini”?
Re: Computer Point is Hiring
I know, and fully oppose it. As an employer I would rather hire on merit rather than nationality. However, the fact is in Bahrain, especially now with the various unemployment “activities”, there is no way in Hell nor Heaven that I would get a work permit for a non-Bahraini.
So do I waste every capable and probably acceptable non-Bahraini’s time by promising that with this ad that if they do apply we actually can get them a work permit? No, I’d rather be straight forward with this and save everyone’s time. Which is fair.
