Most important points is that the king emphasised that there should be more council housing available and the building of new cities under the guardianship of the crown prince, and the other was the mention of the Qatar/Bahrain causeway. No real mention of continuing reforms etc…
The king is walking out now… the inaugural session has ended without the participation of the largest political society in Bahrain which represents 62% of the total cast votes.
Will that mean a re-election? Or will the parliament’s Islamist take this opportunity to swallow all the positions without having even a minute sense of decency of trying to solve the situation?
I don’t think they will… the likes of Dhahrani, Saeedi, Khalid and their ilk are not used to doing honourable things and will use this as an opportunity to “go it alone” rather than to diligently try to repair a very explosive situation.
Where is Bahrain going now?
