The full king’s speech has been posted on the BNA site, but no mention of the Wefaq boycott and no analysis is offered. (Arabic)
update 22:05: English translation posted, excuse the ALL CAPS though, they (the BNA/MoI) know not better.
An Arab man's attempt at bridging the cultural gap and trying to make a difference. Failing a lot. Succeeding once in a while.

Absolutely Bullshit..!!
Mahmood,
I just want to make sure that what I understood from this is right. Alwefaq boycotted the parliamentary session because of re-appointing Ahmed Attiyatallah?
And do not you think that it is like a “suicide”, I mean by not attending the session, the election of important committees and chairmanship, because the government and its allies do not seem to give a damn to their boycotting?
Jaffar that point is moot now as they decided to delay that session until Tuesday, when the Shura will also meet to elect members to various positions.
But if you read the Wefaq’s press release you will knwo their reasoning:
1. Bandargate
2. Punish Attiyatallah
3. Flex their muscles
4. Get the chairmanship, setting a precedent that the larger party automatically gets the that position, akin to other “normal” democracies where the winning party forms government.
Did I miss anything?
So, what’s the next step?? Who flexes what muscle? :undecided:
