Backlit Sunflower and Shadows, originally uploaded by malyousif.
One of the “advantages” of having parakeets coming to our garden and feeding is their dispersion of seeds some of which grow into magnificent plants, like this sunflower for instance, dropped in a relatively random place but certainly adds an organic – design wise – dimension to gardening.
Have a wonderful day my friends.

It’s a beauty but the photograph is very impressive. I like the shadows on the wall behind. They give a depth to the picture.
Sorry, being a photographer I get excited by these things.

Thanks Bernie, I like it too!
I had to adjust the levels and contrast a bit in Photoshop, the original was typical of a phonecam shot, a bit washed out. But I’m glad that it had enough data to be tweaked without destroying the details.
That’s from a camera phone? It’s so crystal clear and sharp that I would never have thought (my camera phone is never that good, even with photoshop tweaking). How many megapixels does your phone’s cam have?

I’m very impressed with it too! The Sony Ericsson K800i has a 3.2 megapixel camera and it’s rather good, I would even go as far as calling it a cameraphone rather than a phonecam!
Ahh, that explains the clarity. My cell phone has only 1.3 megapixels (my camera has 6). However, I have gotten some weird effects using my phone, even some that give the appearance of age (the oddest picture was images of mammatus clouds after a storm.)
