Abbas Al-Shakhoori has passed away

Abbas’ funeral procession shot from my office’s balcony this evening (9 Apr ’07)

It saddens me to learn that the security guard Abbas Al-Shakhoori has passed away this morning after being in a coma and declared brain-dead over a week ago.

I join other Bahraini citizens and call on the Ministry of Interior to exert all efforts to apprehend the killer and ensure that they are fully transparent and present the criminal to justice no matter who he is.

As I look out of my office window, I see that a lot of people are walking toward Bani Jamra village which is where his funeral will start and mourners will carry his body to his village of Shakhoora a short distance away.

My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace now.

Update 11 Apr 2007: The BNA reports that:

May Allah accept him in Heaven and may HE look over all loved ones at all times.

Bahrain will be considered unsafe by all its citizens, residents and tourists, until this person is brought to justice.

I just read the news about this. It saddens my heart and I hope, like you do, that they find the killer(s), no matter who it is.

My heart goes out to his wife and his family and hers. I hope he rests in peace.

Condolences to his family. I hope that the murder is fully investigated and his family is at least given some solace in knowing the killer was brought to justice.

I was just in Bahrain and i’ve learnt that he died yesterday’s morning.
and i also have told by so many people that they didn’t find the ****** **** ****** ******* ***** *** *** ***** *** *********** #[email protected]$!#@%#$!%[email protected]%^ @^#%$^!^@ &%^@&^! !&%^@ who killed him as one my friends said who has the heart to kill a human being in his words “hy shloon 3inda galb yedbi7 insan” i was thinking about it i tryed to go clubbing while i was in Bahrain i went next door to where all this happend and it was horrible a special security company was brought to secure the place and what used to be our favorite tavrern has lost its friendly flavour of friendlyness and all its cozyness, honestly i say @#$% this #$%#, what the #@$% happend to our lovely island it turned worse than the streets of harlm or the allies of moscow what the hell happend ????

i wonder is all because of our new COMERS… you get it??? no i don’t mean the F1 people.. not pointing any fingers but it hurts when you hear about such horrible things….

anyway what i want to say here is GOD bless his soul he was a man and i’m sure he is one the best men in bahrain since he is working 2 jobs to support a new wife and a house he is fighter we all should remember him and honor him and relate to him as a sample of perfect bahraini citizen.

Well, I still don’t agree that we are worse off than ‘Harlem’ or other known tough areas yet.
But I doubt that the killer would be found. I do not trust the ability of our police. Heck, had I not been an honest man I would have committed several perfect crimes with ease.

May his soul rest in peace.

So… how are the police doing apprehending the culprit? Do they need a ruler to help them… ?

This is just to painful. I cannot imagine the pain his dear wife is going through. May Allah bless her with courage and strenght to face life ahead.

This may end up like the Flayfel affair. Nothing really get done right here. You can only get justice if an expat killed you.

    🙁 :ermm:
