Nurburgring F1 race

I think they should red flag this race… torrential rain. There is only the tractor that is going to finish this race!

There must be about 8 cars out already! Hamilton is back on track…

update – 1516 it HAS been red-flagged. Good sense prevails I think.

update 2 – 1540 Race back on again, safety car still out, rolling start.

So who’s betting on Hamilton to get on the podium this time?

It was a little more fun watching while it rained, but I guess youre right. They did stop it for a while, and started again.

Funny thing though; look at the track now, its like there wasn’t any rain at all less than 20 mins ago, unlike when it rains in Bahrain, and the rain stays for like a week 🙂

only on the backstreets of sugaya 😛

Great Race – Massa needs to practice more
driving in the rain. Alonso had a clear
    advantage here.

Kimi – it was sad to see him go.

    Hamilton – unlucky this race.

    Glad no one got hurt.

Can’t wait for the next race – Hungary! 😀

Mahmood, being one of the few licensed and authorized Safety Car Drivers in Bahrain, I had the privilege of Driving the Safety\intervention Car in many races in Bahrain, one of those races was the Last 24 hour race that very night, and after being stuck in the vehicle for well over 20 hours it started raining like the amazon, our track was flooded, when I had to do the closing lap when the race was over, there were sectors of the track that had at least 3″ puddles of water.

OK now don’t get me wrong, that is not a bad thing, it is hard to make a rain proof track, just take a look at the Brazilian track, this track is notorious for puddles and not on all parts of the track as well, hell, I even remember in 2002 or 2003 when it rained heavily on parts of the track but was as dry as the desert on other parts.
