Dr. Mohammad Al-Ubaydli does a very good job in introducing open source software to lay people with real world examples on how others have implemented “free” software within their environments, be that home, work or school.
This is the second book by Dr. Al-Ubaydli, the first, Handhelds for Doctors has already been translated into 3 other languages other than English, and has gone through to its second printing.
Al-Riyadh Newspaper’s Hind Al-Khalifa interviewed Dr. Al-Ubaiydli and talked extensively about his experience in publishing and the motives that drove him to write his books.
It’s a very interesting article. It is in Arabic, but Dr. Al-Ubaiydli is currently translating the article into English. I suspect that once it is done, it will be published on his blog.
Well done Dr. Al-Ubaiydli!
