Schumacher, the God of F1, has done it once again for the SIXTH time, unmatched performance and wins in the history of F1.
All he needed was 1 point to clinch the championship but he had to fight pretty hard for that one. Sure that even if he dropped out of today’s grand prix and Rubens won it, he would have still gotten the championship, but true to his “never give up” style, he started from the 14th position, had an altercation with da Matta Sato which resulted in a trip back to the pits to change the front of the car which took 18 seconds rather than the usual 12 seconds, rejoined the circuit in the 19th position and fought his way back progressively up the field only to have another altercation with an over-zealous younger brother which dropped them both back a bit.
I was praying for him not to have a last lap puncture as happened before as I think there was a real chance of that because Ralph looks almost certainly have touched or gouged the Michael’s rear tyre! I would love to see them both just after the race, had that been my brother I would have killed the twit!
Phew, that was a major adrenaline rush for me just watching the race, just imagine how it was for him in the cockpit!
I look forward to watching him perform his magic again in Bahrain next year. That would be a huge treat for me!
Well done Michael Schumacher, well done Rubens Barrichello, well done Ferrari on a wonderful season and may your reign continue (until Porsche gets off its fat arse and join the F1 circuit that is!!)
