That’s why I’ve almost exclusively switched to Arabic music! I haven’t listened to Arabic music for years, almost never in fact, but the dearth of talent currently available in world music has become too “poppy” and rappy which is completely not to my liking.
I still enjoy listening to Jazz, Blues and Rock in dozes, but I don’t listen to English music all that much now. I’m actually beginning to enjoy Arabic music, which is very surprising to me. True there is a lot of crap and poppyness in Arabic music, but the overall picture is a seismic shift to the better when compared to just a few years ago.
