4th armed robbery in a year!

Don’t know what’s happening to Bahrain. Arms of any kind are banned. No one has a gun – or shouldn’t, but we hear from the local press this morning that yet another armed robbery attempt at a bank in Riffa happened yesterday when a Bahraini guy dressed in a women’s Abaya and Burqa pulled a gun on the guard at the Standard Chartered Bank in Riffa and in the scuffle fired and shot the guard twice in the leg.

Locals over-powered the guy and arrested him after his get-away car was apparently rammed by a passing BDF officer who had the presence of mind to do something.

So how did this guy get a gun? Is there a black market for fire-arms in Bahrain? Was it smuggled? Or was the guy from the armed forces trying his luck?

Ok, don’t ban guns, but how about banning Abayas and Burqas? Wouldn’t that be easier?

Can’t get rid of the abayas…

What would I wear to uni when I oversleep and have to get to class in my pajamas???

Burqas on the other hand…. 🙁

You could do what my students do here in the UK – turn up in your pyjamas, wearing only one shoe, soaking wet because in your half-awake state you forgot your umbrella, and with a cornflake stuck in your hair.

I like to set surprise tests for those early morning lectures 😀

There is nothing that students admire more than a Prof who looks completely mad. They’ll think you’re a genius, trust me!

Yes it is, he derserves it too poor thing. That is, the policeman who was shot during an armed robbery was visited by the minister of the interior and given a medal for valour as well as moved up the rank from a watchman to a policeman (sorry don’t know the ranks and they always confuse me.)

The question is who did it, why did he do it, and how did the stupid twit think that he would get away with it, and then why are most armed robberies are happening in Riffa?

i hear the watchmen you see out in the streets with guns are usually carrying “bulletless” guns and they’re just for show. (i hope no armed robbers are reading this!)

I think these robberies were commited by the new citizens who’ve been granted citizenship. These people are either working for the ministry of defence or the interior. These people were brought from trhe deserts of Syria, Jordan and Pakistan to mass murder the people of Bahrain.

Now they are undermining our security and eating our economy. The genuine people of Bahrain should extracate these people. The governmnet of bahrain should be ashamed of these people and trust its people.
