As usual we went to dad’s house for Iftar last night, being a Thursday, and that was the very first time this year I have had the dubious honour to watch some of what they call the Ramadhan Shows. Surfing from Al-Rai which is a new TV channel in Kuwait, through to MBC and various others in between.
What utter, total, unadultrated, pile of smelly stuff the shows were!

What mind numbing and degrading work is this? And this is what people wait all year for? The Ramadhan Shows whose budgets run into the hundreds of thousands of Dinars if not millions?
Thank goodness I don’t watch any Arabic TV. Else I would go out and buy a gun and blow my brains out. Don’t get me wrong, if I find something worth watching I would have, I’m as patriotic as the next guy, but I refuse to waste my time on crap like this.
What a disgrace. And the morons who actually sit in front of their TVs and watch this crap are happy with this standard? Happy with being portrayed as morons by substandard talentless actors and directors?
If these shows do prove popular, we might as well start competing with amoebas for intelligence… because sure as night follows day, we can’t compete with anything else!

and the shows are always so tragic! everyone’s crying ALL the time.
gotta mention this real quick, those ads they air on Paramount and Showtime in general for their shows, with the arabic narration in the background, oh what i wouldn’t do to strangle the woman who does them, her voice is SOOOOOOO annoying! and the shit she sez just doesn’t make sense,it would in ENGLISH but when its translated word for word to Arabic, it just sounds like CRAP!

Why the hell do these ‘Channels’ advertise themselves on their own channel?
The comedy channel will interupt a show with a commercial advertising the comedy channel! Hello! i’m watching you allready you friggin half witted vultures crotches!
