Shame.. It looks like I won’t be here for that weekend, damn! Just looking at the Entry List excites me! There are going to be some of the great GT racers of the world decending on Bahrain for that weekend and hopefully they will help make it an annual and regular event for the BIC.

Bahraini national motor racing team?
Does anyone know the dates for when the World Cup of Motorsport – the A1 Grand Prix – is coming to Bahrain? What’ll make this exciting is that it’s first of all about the racing rather than Ecclestone’s bank balance and secondly the teams will race under national flags. Given that Bahrain’s hosting a race what’s the chances of the Kingdom having a team out there?

I’m working on that.. expecting some information tomorrow morning. I’m also trying to get to meet Fahad Al-Fardan to talk to him about his experiences in racing. He’s just come back after getting 2nd position overall on Asia, he’s doing pretty good!

Aparently nothing has been decided yet as to the participation of Bahrain in the A1 series. They’ve held meetings, but options are being weighed at the moment.
