What the hell for?
I forgot to check the stats for a while, and I looked today and am flabergasted. There has been over 2.6 million page views since April last year.. that’s in 18 months!! and for the last 5 months we receive about 1 million hits PER MONTH! And all this without counting the “administrator” hits, that is, the system does not log my visits as “hits” otherwise it probably will be in the zillions!
Gotta find ways to make money out of this thing! 😉

yes, that’s one point of blogs, they’re really a peer network of thoughts and concepts. you will find that friendships develop even across traditional bounderies and vast distances, just by recognising from the written word kindered spirits!

yep, statcounter is great. It’s free and you don’t even need to add any clunky promo logos to your site.

i don’t understand. if you got 1 million hits per month for the last 5 month that would make at least 5 million hits. why do you say you got only 2.6 million in 18 month?

here are the defs from webalizer:
Hits represent the total number of requests made to the server during the given time period (month, day, hour etc..).
Pages are those URLs that would be considered the actual page being requested, and not all of the individual items that make it up (such as graphics and audio clips). Some people call this metric page views or page impressions, and defaults to any URL that has an extension of .htm, .html or .cgi.
