The first Arab Forum for Human Rights Development will be held under the patronage of the Education Minister Dr Majid Al Nuaimi from December 8, at the Regency Inter-Continental Hotel.
The two-day forum is being organised by the Bahrain Women’s Society in co-operation with United Nations Development Programme, under the theme Towards a Knowledge-Based Community.
The forum will be attended by 10 cultural, intellectual and educational institutions as well as research and training centres from Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Yemen, Tunis and Saudi Arabia.
Representatives and experts will discuss the recommendations based on the Arab Human Development Report for 2003 and their implementation in the region.
