Eid Mubarak

Although the poll was very close, 91:86, the Nays have it and they were right.


Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain (so far) have declared Eid to be tomorrow. The Sunna that is. The Shi’as are still out and are not expected to have their Eid tomorrow with the rest of them.

The surprising thing is, astronomically, (arabic) it is impossible that tomorrow is the start of the new month, as the crescent will be impossible to see. It was astronomically agreed by various authorities that the first day of Eid should have been on Sunday, rather than tomorrow.

But all this is good for me, that means we get back to the office and the REAL world after a month of disruption a day earlier than expected, ie, Tuesday!
