Or at least as I am a full Bahraini citizen, I should get my own desalinisation plant (arabic), paid for by the Government. Of course.
You almost never hear of this guy, except for that time that he was implicated molesting a young lady at the university, now he’s come up from obscurity wanting to dish it out, just in time for re-election.
Let’s see what the criteria is for receiving his benevolence though:
- Available to houses of Bahraini citizens ONLY. If you’re a foreigner, then you can drink from the sewer for all he cares.
- Family income not more than BD 500 per month.
- No family member should own a Commercial Registration (ie, his own business.)
- Government pays for this water desalinisation plant once (per family.)
- Family pays maintenance.
- Family pays for consumables.
How about that? Aren’t these people really doing us favours?
