What does one do at Eid when the regular things are done? Work in the garden of course, and if you happen to have a power-tool, then use it, if you happen to have two, then pose with them. Nothing would make you feel more like a MAN!
Ug ug ug!

Manly Endeavour! and blistered hands
My back is sore as well, but feel really good. Frances and I spent the whole day almost in the garden doing stuff, and when we got done with that, we turned our attention to the trees OUTSIDE of our house!
Threre are some fast growing shade/cover trees planted by the developer when they built the how I think, and then adopted by the municipality. That means no maintenance. Anyway, they were getting on our nerves, and as we bought long secateurs this morning, we thought we’d put them to good use, and we have!
7 trees later, we created a good mound of leaves and cut branches for the rubbish men to take away, but at least you could see the walls of our house!
That’s me by the way this morning prepairing to cut and mount the trellesing in our garden for a couple of climbing plants.
Manly Endeavour!
I am sending you some rose cuttings next week for the garden. Just an FYI…..
Re: Manly Endeavour!
MUCH appreciated, thanks Mark.
We came back from dad’s house this afternoon and found that 4 trees where untethered. We had a bit of wind and a dust storm this afternoon and tha’s all it took to break away their anchor cables. We fixed those pretty quick, with metal clothes hangers! Best thing to tether trees to railings!
But at least we took the opportunity to top one of the tall trees before we anchored it again.
Manly Endeavour!
