Sex-hungry youths, drug dealers and homosexuals are preying on Bahraini children at school gates, MPs declared yesterday.
They want teachers or social supervisors at all government school gates at the end of each day, to keep predators at bay.
Shelters and possibly even waiting rooms may be built at school gates, so staff can keep an eye on children until their parents collect them.
Parliament yesterday backed the scheme, originally proposed by Independent Bloc president and public utilities and environment committee chairman Abdulaziz Al Moosa.
