NINETY-TWO students at Bahrain University have so far been punished since the start of the academic year in September, it was revealed yesterday. The violations include disrupting classes, making too much noise and having “intimate contact” with members of the opposite sex.
Two social supervisors have been assigned to each building in the mornings and evenings to police the students, according to university guidance director Layla Kamal.
“All those found breaking the rules have been dealt with according to the university’s penal code,” she said.
