911T

I saw one of these ladies while driving to work this morning:

Porsche 911T

(forget the green bits, just concentrate on the car and imagine it roaring on freshly laid asphalt!)

Unfortunately, the guy driving it was a dickhead. Full of himself. If you’re reading this, chill-out man, you have a nice set of wheels. To enjoy it fully at least smile when someone tries to talk to you at a red light! I was admiring the car, not you. And yes, my other car is a Porsche. So stuff it.

Nice car, you see a lot of these vintage cars in the area I live in. Far too often I find that men, sometimes even women, who drive these cars think the car defines them. I, personally, think people often use cars and trucks to try and make up for personal limitations they have elsewhere in their lives. You see it all of the time, the old guy driving a really nice sports car, the small guy driving a huge Hummer/Hum-V. They are compensating for something.

Dont get me wrong, being of German ancestry I love my vehicles, but mine does not define who I am.

Oh I don’t know Malik, a car is much more interesting than a penis! Although I agree, some might use their flashy vehicles to compensate.

I love my porky and just enjoy taking her out once in a while… that reminds me, she’s been in the garage for 3 months and the battery has once again discharged and needs to be replaced. I do that 4 times a year now!!

I’ve been neglecting her for a while and have been wishy-washy about selling/keeping her. I think I’m gonna keep her now, so better get her fixed up and do the nigly things which have been pending for quite some time. Ok, now that I wrote this, a project has just opened up. Bring my porky back to pristine condition again, then do a “radical” day at the circuit.

Time to actually get an electric charger and connect it to the battery while she’s resting…

Wow, i love porsche’s. This model seems quite the car that would have the punch to nourish you desire for speed. But i would have to show you my favorite model that i believe is a good bang for your buck and heck its a porsche. Introducing (Drum Roll) the Porsche 911 Turbo 1978 model the most complete porsche turbo from the golden era.

Here is also a page that shows the specs and the price range in which this model is currently valued at. 300 hp seems migthy fine for a car that old. 😀

    Ali, you got class!

Over the next few days/weeks I’m going to fix my car up, take it to a nice location and take some pictures and put them up. For now, you can enjoy our movie which features my porky, my daughter Hanan and my son Arif in “a child’s dream“!

    … oh my.

… I’m not sure what comment to jump on first – the “mine does not define who I am” or the “penis” remark!

I’m finding, after only 4 days of driving my new Guards “I just turned 40” Red 911 … I feel like *I* need to compete with my car now! I mean, the car is louder, flashy-er and turns more heads than ME! 🙁

So, maybe cars do provide a definition of the driver (mind you, I think that’s different than “defining who I am”. And I’m leaving that other remark alone for now … 😉
