A string of attractions await spectators during the Bahrain Grand Prix

Bahrain International Circuit is being beefed-up prior to the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix on April 1,2 &3 thanks to additional landscaping designed to make the event more appealing and enjoyable to spectators.

Fans flocking to the US$150 million circuit will be offered a wide variety of new activities and services in time for the April race. New tarmac has been laid on walkways between the grandstand and the “F1 Village behind the main grandstand. Shuttle buses will run continuously for the public allowing them to enjoy practice, qualifying, support races and the Grand Prix as well enjoying the “F1 Village and the merchandising outlets, coffee shops and recreational areas.

“We aim to offer race fans the most memorable experience. Formula One is the pinnacle of motorsport throughout the world and here in Bahrain we are members of an extremely exclusive club of 19 Grand Prix races. Ours is the only race in the Middle East and we want people to come to the circuit not only to enjoy the racing but to bring the family for an entertaining day out together with other families and friends, said BIC General Manager, Martin Whitaker. “With this in mind, we have added and upgraded a string of services and facilities to ensure that spectators enjoy their time at the circuit, he added.

We live in Saudi Arabia and we want to eat at Senor Paco’s in Bahrain. I understan that we need reservations, but the phone number I have doesn’t connect. Is this the right number and if not, how do I make these reservations?? Can you help?
    Senor Paco’s: (973)725873

All fixed line numbers in Bahrain have the prefix 17 added to them, so (the new) Senor Paco’s number is +973-1772 5873.

    Enjoy your margaritas!

the number you’re dialing is wrong. it looks like a mobile number, but the rule for mobile numbers is:

    3 + 6 if Vodafone or 9 if Batelco + 7 digit number

What is evident from your number is that it is one number too long (maybe an extra 0?) and it doesn’t start with the prefix of 3. So check it again and retry.

Thanks for replying Mahmood – I can’t seem to understand why I’m not getting through (although I did reach someone’s residence on one of my attempts 🙂

I’m trying to reach a US consulate visa call center and they state this on their webpage –

dial Bahrain Call at (00) 973-90000-797.

That looks like an 8-digit number to me. Could you break down those number groups? I know that 973 is the country code for bahrain and I have read there is no city code. Thus, the 90000-797 should be the number but it never goes through. Its bizarre.

    Thanks!

I live in the US and this telephone number talk caught my eye. I have been trying (for many months now) to call a number in Bahrain (I think it may be a call center) 973-90000797, however I can never connect. If I have a friend from the UAE try that number, they can connect! Any ideas ? Perhaps I’m missing something?

This is what I dial – International dialling code + country code + number
    i.e. 011 + 973 + 90000797

Can you aid in my quest to dial that number? 🙂

It could also be a “premium” number. Other than that I can’t help. Try emailing them.
