Ya, harsh way to lose actually, Bahrain never has luck on its side, but this is the game, one day it’s for you, the other it’s against you. But I’d have to admit, Japan are a very lucky team, for the past year or so, they’ve probably been the luckiest on earth for years. About that article, it’s known Iran hates us especially after we lifted the Saudi flag after we beat them in the 2002 WC qualifiers, so don’t be surprised if they’re very happy. I don’t want to generalize, but a lot of Iranians are racists when it comes to dealing with Arabs for different reasons.
Inshalla, in June, we have two home games and one away in Azadi, so hopefully we’ll win in the home games with the help of the heat, humidity and some luck and who knows what’ll happen with Iran.

Re: Hard Luck Bahrain…
Yes Khalid, I agree. Iranians can be racist against Arabs (and vice versa). I wonder if the fact that the Arabs supporting and waging war against Iran in the 80s (thus causing one million deaths on the Iranian and Arab side each) has anything to do with it.
Anyway, in keeping in spirit with the title of this post, I wish Bahrain the best of luck in future games. Too bad we lost this one.

Ya it’s mainly the war thing, but they hate Bahrain especially after we lifted the Saudi Flag after the match and I think it’ll remain like this for a long long time. And ya inshalla we can win and qualify, we’ve got the team but we don’t have the luck.
