    Potentially. Everyone this year seems to have left the island. They’re coming back now. A family with two young children are coming to be introduced to her this morning. We’ll see how they both feel about each other, and if I find the situation acceptable, I hope she’ll have a good life with her new family.

    I’m glad to say that Spider went this morning to her new home. A young family that just arrived on the island with two children, 8 and 12 and they seem to love each other already! I’m really happy for little spider, if a little sad for seeing her go. At least she has been housed with a family that has the potential to make a good home for her.

    Ah, no! Under the thobe is baggy half-sirwal with not y-fronts to restrict movements, but the buggers bought me that itsy bitsy shining silver and tiger-striped black THONG for xmas and I can tell you that it’s uncomfortable! 🙂

    Dad!! She was supposed to go to Pauline! That way I could have at least visited her, or at least said goodbye!!
    Did you [i]at least[/i] check out their house, the state of their home, if they already have a dog(s), if they have somewhere to walk her? Did you explain to them how she is scared to go near any traffic or cars, parked or not, or that she is scared of mostly boys and men?
    I wanted to at least say goodbye, see her one more time before she went. I also thought it was definate that she was going to Pauline, where we were [i]sure[/i] that it would be such a good home and that she would be treated so well, and that she would not go to someone we do not know.

    Of course I did Hanani. Pauline actually recommended the family quite highly, she visits them everyday and they do have two children, 8- and 12-years old and they love her. They live on a compound and she’s staying in the house with them. They took her for her first walk with them and she’s jumping for joy!

    My agreement with Pauline is that this is temporary and that Spider can come back at any time should she or the family don’t feel very comfortable with each other. Pauline wanted to take her for herself and she might do still, but couldn’t at the moment as she is still waiting for electricity to be connected at her new place, and obviously it is far too hot to leave Spider or any animal out in the heat we’re experiencing at the moment.

    So we’re still awaiting final outcomes Hanan. I’m sure that Pauline can take you to the new family to see Spider and say your farewells. Pauline has been in constant contact with me and giving me updates on how Spider is with the new family every single day. She assures me that they both are enjoying each others’ company.

    And you know something Hanan, Gnasher and Phoebe are no longer fighting. Phoebe is a LOT happier and she’s not whining any more. When we go walking in the evening now you can SEE how Phoebe is happy, she’s almost back to being a puppy now the way she’s LEAPING over Gnasher and mucking around with him. It’s a very nice sight to see. I’m taking them to the sea this afternoon for Gnasher to go in once again, I’m not sure if Phoebe will follow though. In either case, Phoebe even in the last couple of days is not as timid as usual, she’s got her spirit back.

    Gnasher too is very happy. But the stupid twit STILL thinks that he’s a puppy! He comes jumping at me wanting petted whenever I drive in, regardless of me wearing a spotless white thobe or not!

    Looking forward to having you all back habibi, it’s only 4 days!

    Bonjour Vati…
    Just thought I’d give you ample warning that although Hanan sees that the move was best for Spider, she’s absolutely [b]distraught[/b] that she had no say in who her dog went to, and that she didn’t get to see her go.

    She’s been going around like a bear with a sore head…well, more like me with PMS!

    And I [i]know[/i] that isn’t a delightful thing to witness…she’s being even meaner than me!

    Just warning you…We all know that it was for the best but she isn’t very happy.

    Hope you’re having a cool holiday, we’ll be back soon…and I’m happy to say that I’ve done the [b][i]least[/i][/b] shopping out of all of us!!!

    God, looks like in deep trouble with #2! Never mind, I’m sure that she’ll realise that it is for Spider’s best, as well as for the other two twits. We discussed this and agreed on steps to be taken. Ah well, never mind, we’ll sort it out when you all come back.

    And Amna, there is no way that anyone can be more short tempered and bitchy than you with PMS!!!! I know that first hand 😆

    As to shopping, you’ve got 4 days… BREAK THE BANK!

    Mwa ha haaaa!! Mutti and I are going to Edinburgh today (the other 2 can’t be taken away from the tv for fear of extreme pain on my part), so I’ll do that!!
