Took this picture on the way to work this morning, and no it’s not unique in Bahrain… you want to move or transport goods, fruit, veg, office, home, trash, whatever, just get a few “free visa” labourers, pile the junk in a truck and ensure that it is haphazard and dangerous, if you can overload it even better. Then as you don’t have any place for the labourers to sit during the transport from A to B, loan them all up on top of, or next to the rubbish and admonish them severely before you start the journey by making them understand that they are less valuable than the junk you are transporting… so if the choice occurs between junk falling off on the road as you drive at high speed, they have to do all they can to stop the flow, even if it costs them their lives.
Of course you would take as direct route a possible between A and B, like through a road that has an infant school at? No problem…
