Got one of these yesterday, my trusty Nokia 6300 almost snuffed it when I accidently poured a bottle of water on it. But it was Evian so I don’t know why the hell it was complaining (there was nothing else in the mini-fridge so gimme a break 🙁 )
Almost a week after the “incident” and it’s still flakey: calls don’t come through, messages just sometimes arrive, and the on/off button doesn’t work, oh, and I can’t answer a call, I have to take the battery out and replace it, wait for the phone to initialise and then call back a missed call. You get the gist of it.
However, my experience so far with the Sony Ericsson K750i is that I detest it. The buttons are too small, it take for ever to type out a text message, and the dictionary is moronic, not to mention the brain-dead way that the menus are set up and that stupid “undo” or “return” key which should have been placed on the right-hand-side of the display rather than where it is now, on the left.
Maybe it’s just that I’ve become so used to the Nokia way of doing things, even with that, I find that the menus on the Ericsson completely illogical. I’ll get used to it in time I suppose… in time to get the N91 when it comes out in January!
The 2 megapixel camera isn’t all that it’s pumped up to be either. The only thing that wowed me so far on the 750 is it’s “torch” function. Cool!

And I thought I was the only one with problems with a SE. The 910i drove me absolutely bonkers for something that was supposed to handle quite a few applications -ergonomic was not its byword! The stylus was inaccurate and the mini keyboard was no better then a prop! You had to have a size 3 glove-size to type anything!! The only plus I can muster is I managed to upload Wallace and Gromit-The Wrong trousers into it…I haven’t even bothered to repair it after get this- It couldn’t stand a bit of steam from a shower!! ……..Which phone were you using when you were blogging from the pool btw? The video wasn’t half bad!

That was the Nokia 6630 (with a bit of image enhancement from Avid!)

I love my Sony Ericsson K750i.. In fact, I love it so much I got two for my siblings.. Honestly, its the nokia that drives me crazy! I love the K750i’s high-end camera and design.. Also, it inclues features like:
2 megapixel camera
32MB internal memory plus Memory Stick Duo card slot
Bluetooth
USB
MP3 player and FM Radio
The Mobile I’m definitely going to get next is the Sony Ericsson W800i. This phone can let you have your music with you wherever you are. Just press the music button to start your in-phone music player, select your favourite song or playlist and enjoy. Getting your music into your mobile is easy – the W800i comes with music transfer software. Move the music from your CDs. Fast and easy. And, to introduce you to the Sony Ericsson Walkmanâ„¢ phone experience, there are six top music hits waiting for you in your W800i.
Sony Ericsson is definitely the way to go!

Its all great…except one thing: the message capacity. Why the hell doesnt it save text messages to the memory stick and not the phone memory?
I’m a text message hoarder, and this is the only feature of the SE that bugs me.

hmm… that was some post!! it sounded like a SE sales rep!!! or a copy/paste out of SE’s website!!!
Fakhro’s all out of the W800i… haven’t had a shipment in 2 months..guess i’ll have to go elsewhere!!
if only it wasn’t orange!! 🙁 aparently the k750 has a lot of problems with the number 2 being too close to the joystick… and the camera slide is flimsy…
