The Mtc-Bulls all Bahraini Karting team once again proved the potential and ability of national racers. The event was hosted at eh Kuwait Ice Rink car park from Thursday 10th November to Friday 11th November 2005.
The Mtc-Bulls Karting team was made of up six Bahrainis, Captain Shaikh Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa and racers Mohammed Al Baharna, Talal Al Ghaith, Abbas Al Sarhan, Ali Ateya and Yasser Al Saffar. This was the first time this year for the karters to race with this line up but all drove exceptionally well throughout the Red Bull 25hour Endurance Karting race. Although the racers fought their way up to second position, the team was unable to avoid some bad luck with penalties and eventually finished third.
“It was a good race, the crowd was great and the event well organized. We did well with this new line-up and we fought hard but were a bit unlucky. However, we’re happy to finish third and congratulations to all the racers in the Mtc-Bulls Karting team for driving so well. Karting is a fun sport and it’s been a while since I raced in a kart but the camaraderie and the enthusiasm during the night kept us going� said Mtc-Bulls Karting Team captain, Shaikh Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
Out of eighteen teams, Batelco won the race with 1923laps, Wataniya was second with 1919 laps and Mtc-Bulls third with 1893 laps.
The next Red Bull 25hour Karting race sanctioned by the Bahrain Motor Federation will be hosted in Bahrain at the Seef Track from 1st December to 2nd December.
