Fortune-telling clamp sought

SORCERERS and fortune tellers in Bahrain could face a two-year jail term or BD500 fine if a new proposal is passed by Parliament. The additional article to the country’s Penal Code establishes specific punishment against people practising the “dark arts”.

MP Ali Matter, who is proposing the new article, says the Penal Code does not have specific provisions related to such practices, which vaguely fall under fraud.

    Fortune-telling clamp sought

Fair enough… I understand but could you suggest a way to help those who do turn to fortune tellers etc. back to Islam or reference to the Koran etc. You see, as long as the countries of Islam want to reap the monies and popularities of other countries other influences will mingle with their own. There is a logical way and profitable one as well is to make the fortune tellers accountable to giving back to Islam by making them refer back to the Koran lets say. I am not trying to offend you or anyone else but truly if people are lining up for readings etc. then there must be a reason and I feel as though it can be controlled if Islam would simply stop by double standards. All thorugh I see astrology columns, even in itself meteorology is a form of divination. I am sure no one is being forced nor seduced to go to the readers. They do have a choice not to go to them. But then the question lies if they would be punished by going to them.
