Bahrain’s parliament lashed out in outrage last night over newspaper cartoons insulting Prophet Mohammed and Islam.
They demanded official apologies from Denmark, where the cartoons were first published and Norway, where they were republished by a magazine earlier this month.
MPs also demanded action by Bahrain’s government against Denmark and called for mass protests all over the country, after Friday prayers.

I am sick and tired of hearing about this ridiculous Muslim outrage. Where was the outrage from the Muslim world when Islamic terrorists were beheading innocent people in the name of Islam? where was the outrage when terrorists committed violent acts against innocent people in the name of thier religion? All the Muslims I know are very nice people.
However, I value freedom of speech over religion. We in the West have fought many years and many generations against our own government to get this right.
Offended Muslims have the right to boycott and I wish them good luck.
Debate, and allowing other views are all part of freedom.
We all mock George Bush but he does not listen. If people mock a religion- just ignore and boycott their goods and then get back to the important things of life.

We don’t care what you say about Muslim and Islam. We care for our religion and our Prophet (peace be upon him) We would neither tolerate any such insults to even Jesus (peace be upon him). Even after such cheap insult, we Muslim will never insult Jesus. We learned it from Muhammad (s.a.w)! Terrorism have always been bombed since the creation of this world and Islam is totally against it. If some Christians priests are homosexuals or perverse and that they had been brought to the court, we dont blame Christianity for that. Terrorisms have been the redoubtable weapons of USA and other countries. Is the bombardment in Iraq killing thousands of innocents persons not an act to terrorism? Is the indifference of the U.N on Palestine not a scientific terrorism? We would say Well done to all the Muslims who are boycotting the products of Danmark! A Muslim loves his Prophet more that life. If you keep praising your freedom of writing, speech, dressing and what not without a full stop, then we Muslims are such lovers that we pray to die in Madina the burial place of our Prophet. A true Muslim should never in his life time buy any such product. And those who have contributed in making such cheap cartoons heaven will decide their lot!

The cartoon was published in Denmark for a Danish audience. If you’re not Danish why is it any of your business? There have been worse depictions of Jesus in the West, and the world’s Christians did not go rioting, boycotting, attacking embassies, or burning flags.
You live in a globalized world. There are millions of people who don’t hold sacred the things that you do. Get used to it.
As for Heaven deciding people’s lot, there are worse crimes than some stupid cartoons. Most Arab governments are probably familiar with them.

The cartoons have been printed all over the West. If you are serious about your religion, you should not limit your ban to Danish products, but all Western products. You can start with the air conditioners. If I were you, I’d set fire to any Western cars you see and only buy cars made in the Middle East. And you need to kick out all the Western workers, too.

I suppose there are many people in the world who don’t like Dubya, but most are disinformed by their media and local authorities. First of all, poster #2 who says that they would not tolerate insults on Jesus is wrong. Jesus was not a christian, he was a JEW. There sure isn’t a whole lot of Jew-embracing going on with him.

…and yet he is certainly willing to ‘punish’ all of the citizens of Denmark for the ridiculous cartoons that a handful of people were responsible for.
As far as his notion of terrorism is concerned, that’s a political idea that he’ll take to the grave– even with rational proof of corrupt regimes.
The Iraqi invasion could have been far, far worse. In reality, decisive steps were taken to limit innocent deaths. There was no carpet bombings like in Vietnam, or A-bombs going off over Baghdad, but there is now freedom and elections for the first time in history.
My neighbor was almost executed when he and the Bahraini football team went to play a ‘goodwill’ game in Baghdad. Their uniforms and equipment were confiscated and subsequently worn by the Iraqi team. They were told to play in dress pants with dress shoes or they would be killed. As far as numbers are concerned on who loves the prez– it’s always the same. When first elected, the numbers are high, and then begin that downward slide. Most of the time people are bored or they just get tired of seeing the same face. I am proud of electing Dubya for what he’s done for our country and the middle east. Let’s face it, Clinton was happy with the middle east being run by despots. All he needed was his cigar and a hottie on his staff.
If Mohammed (P.O.H.G.) were alive today do you think he’d approve of cell phones and television? I think it’s high time that people stopped living in 600 A.D. and bring themselves into the 21st century. Tolerance is much more productive than hatred.
