    have signed (another) plea to elected “representatives” currently on yet another vacation after not dealing with illegal immigration here….begging them to come to their senses re Iran. A nation does have the right to produce nuclear energy (and I can pronounce it, too *beams*). But the leader’s comments have been frightening enough regarding Israel, and now that my fearless feckless leader has begun beating his drums, I am very afraid.

    Honestly I thought the new motif is kind of sleak.. I still won’t watch bahrain TV.. but I mean… lately it was bottom of the barrel.. anything from that is a step up

    Bottom row. 3rd from right. That chick. I could’ve sworn I saw her on TV the other day, talking about the Iranian nuke crisis. She said that Bahrain has no way of verifying that it is for peacefull purposes. The interviewer asked her if she was allowed to go to Iran and see for herself, would she be safisfied? She said, “There would be no way for me to know – I am not a nuclear scientist”.

    The interviewer then mentioned that a batch of Bahraini journalists had in fact gone over to Iran to probe into their nuke program. Her reply was that: “Yes but they were all Shia.”

    I read Dr. Mansour Al-Jamri’s glowing account, but don’t have a list of who actually has gone there from the Bahraini press to ascertain her claim, though the gut feeling says that she’s probably wrong.

Hopefully, its the people behind the scenes that need to be changed . . . I mean what exactly is ‘new’ if you have the same faces with the same management? Someone call Aljazeera for help!

    Same faces, same management, same blinkered outlook, same sh*t diffrent day. Ho hum.
    So what has changed apart from the fact that last year BTV got a brand new news studio? Sod all. So long as Sami Hijris (bottom left) is around, arrogantly looking after his own interests rather than those of the public, there doesn’t seem much hope.

    as much as i ranted and raved on the BANG post, I am not comfortable at all with the fact that Iran may have nuclear arsenal.

    And its not Ahmednijad that scares me. Its the fact that they sent Rafsanjani to the Gulf states. Good old moderate reform minded Rafsanjani. The more western face.

    The Supreme Council of Bearded Ones are up to something. And they seem very unified on this. And it worries me.
