From the liberals points of view, it’s good news. At least all of the Wa’ad candidates have gone into a run-off with an opponent, so there is a good chance for a few of them to actually reach parliament, now that the vote is concentrated just between two people.
The liberals now have to work extra hard to convince people that they are the right choice.
According to Al-Waqt newspaper, and Al-Wefaq’s site, 15 out of the 17 Wefaq candidates won from the first round, with just one candidate going into run-off. This is a big (expected) win for Al-Wefaq, so congratulations are in order.
Please let me know should you find any errors or omissions.
Turnout was a massive 72%!

Interesting! I expected some of these results but not all. I can’t deny that I wished that some of them will be out this time
Good luck for Dr Muneera, and ALL WAAD candidates … all the best .. we all know .. they need EXTRA to oppose the obviouse BIAS!!
Congratulations to all who won, but still I say that Imams have no business in politics. But considering how this country is being run, I am not surprised that Imams feel that they have to take the chance to guide people in the right direction or atleast make a difference through parliment. Let us watch and see how the situation unfolds. God speed to Sheikh Ali Salman and his troop. May they bring about the necessary change this country needs.
Mahmood we need you in there……
I hope to see the new members mop the parliment floor with Dahrani and Saeedi’s beards
I’m pretty sure what will be the first thing these people will discuss. hint: it involves metaphorical gate.
Redbelt, Ali Salman said it specifically like this in the Kuwaiti 6/6 program: “The very first thing we will do on entering parliament is remove Ahmed Attiyatallah… he must go.” Matter of fact.
He was challenged by both Salah Ali (Minbar, locked in a second round with the liberal Munira Fakhro) and Adel Al-Mo’awdah (Asalah – got through from the first round, returning) in telling him that parliament should avoid confrontations and it is best to ask for an investigation first.
Salman retreated then and said, yet of course we’ll do an investigation… but he’s gone!
Joker, I hear you!
Mahmood, you’ve written that all of the Wa’ad candidates have gone into a run-off. But if I’m not mistaken, Ibrahim Kamaluddin and Ali Saleh Hassan are out of the race altogether.
Nonetheless, if the remaining four make it through I’ll be more than happy.
You’re right Chan’ad. I didn’t consider the two as they looked from the start as an impossibility in heir constituencies.
Thanks for pointing that out.
apparently it was announced on radio bahrain that mneera fakhro is out. Apparently salah ali one by more than 53% after adding the votes from the “general posts”, even though he was trailing before that! He apparently gained an extra 1000 votes.
these are not the official results
in the offical moh’d khalid won by 53% and i think even dr. salah ali have won
mahmood could u please post the latest results as u know the ones in the newspapers aint the final and official or even better update this post…
 .. SALAH (@$%#$#%^) won .. immagine more than 1000 (#$%#$%) vote came from .. air.. as a boost to his failing party .. please .. god .. bring us justice and rid this country of the filth ..
Dibujante I clearly stated at the top of the table that these results are preliminary and pending the release of the final results on vote4bahrain.com site which I have been refreshing since morning with still no update in site. I have no idea why the results are taking this long…
Once they are out or if I receive independent confirmation of percentages I’ll update my table which ultimately be put in permanent page for our referral under a new “2006 Parliament” heading.
