Beautiful, Mahmood. No one would know you were actually living on a desert Island by looking at your lush garden. I posted a picture of the front garden at my house on my flickr stream last night.
Thank you Barry. I saw your picture earlier and commented on it. Pretty good! Well done. I’m considering getting a leaf blower myself, other than needing it now and then, it’s a power tool so I simply must have it! 😀
Barry
You’re quite welcome, Mahmood. Thank you, again! I finally got off my ass and did work out in it the past couple of month. Part of the motivation was that gardeners would see the weed lot it was, and leave their cards on our front step. After cleaning it up, they stopped doing that. Also, because it *is* afterall what people see, the impression of our home was probably that we didn’t care at all. I would like to put some sort of fence up to keep people (and their dogs) from getting into it and damaging things, but I’d have to see how much it costs and if my parents would agree (it is afterall, their property).
Leafblowers are great, and I make sure not to use them too early in the day or too late since the noise gets annoying. That dry creek was almost impossible to clean out without one.
As my garden is a naturalistic garden, the nice thing about that is, I can let the tree in the picture drop its leaves. I don’t have to rake, since everything growing in my garden appreciates the mulch.
