Almost every Arabic paper you pick up in Bahrain and I suspect the whole Middle East have suddenly realized that extremism is not good! Well H E L L O where have these editors and journalists been for the last few decades? Have they just really realized that extremism is not good, have they been given their new orders to portray extremism – and the new phrase that is being bandied about in these papers – terrorism bad? They never dared to attach the description of “terrorist†to any Muslim before, they have always been “freedom fighters,†“martyrs†and several other adjectives chosen specifically to distance the use of the word terrorist.
