Here’s the deal if you want to demonstrate your support to the Prime Minister regarding the current fracas with the Bahrain Centre for Human Rights:

1. Call 17881131 – this is the Batelco Telegram Office
2. Ask them to send a telegram to the Prime Minister, they have a SET PREPARED MESSAGE ready and waiting, so don’t tax yourself by preparing your own text
3. Give them your telephone number to charge the telegram message to, it’ll only cost you BD 3 for the privilege
4. Wait for your name to appear in the papers (most probably that skewed mouthpiece Al-Ayam) that you support the Prime Minister and his wise leadership

How difficult can that be?

By the way, you can call the same number, where they will have prepared an appropriate message for ANY situation that crops up in Bahrain, especially if controversial.

This is what I call business, and hats off to Batelco for yet another way to boosting their bottom line. I would dearly love to know how much they make out of this innovative service, it must exceed even the horrendous charges for mobile services!
