Durrat Al-Bahrain taking shape at last

Durrat Al-BahrainA $105 million (about BD40m) dredging contract has been awarded to a US-Bahraini joint venture company for the $1 billion (BD378m) Durrat Al Bahrain resort project. The contract was won by Great Lakes Nass, a joint venture company of Great Lakes Dredge & Dock and The Nass Group.

Land reclamation of over six million square metres of reclaimed sea is expected to start next month and to be completed in 26 months.

The contract was signed at Durrat Al Bahrain corporate office premises in Sanabis by Durrat chairman Yousif Taqi and the Nass Group chairman Abdulla Nass.
