you probably noticed however that I am bored stiff today, I hardly made 2 phone calls, both resulted in nothing, so back to playing around with this blog and flickr. Might as well use the time wisely, says I.
Anyway, these pictures you see here are all sent from the flickr service, I’ve set it up that I can click a button there and blog a picture here and that is sent by the magic of Xaraya, BloggerAPI, and of course Flickr. However, some shortcomings still need to be addressed in that the sent items from Flickr don’t have a title! It just plugs the date/time sent, but no title. This is a shortcoming of Xaraya I think, non-standard? No idea, but I know that if I use blogger I can set title tags and they will appear as titles here, but no cookie yet with Flickr. Got to have another deeper look.
More important is the ability to actually send the set tags (if any) with the picture and use those as Keywords in the Keywords module of Xaraya and the of course the description of the picture if that is entered on flickr already.
I also like the idea that I can send a picture to flickr and it will automatically send that to this blog as well. Neeto.
If only the MMS service is cheaper, I would do that all the time! C’mon Batelco, think revenue that could be generated by you if the MMS service becomes as mainstream as SMS!
