My friends, I wish you all a very happy, healthy and wealthy 2005. Here’s to all of YOU, without you I would have gone through 2004 without the pleasure of your company, and without your continuous encouragement and courtesy 2004 would have turned out a lot less successful than it has.

I lift my hat and glass to you…

SMSs going crazy!
Shall we start the same as we’ve done at Eid (unsuccessfully mind you) to record the best and worst SMS message we receive on this occasion? Let me start:
The best (so far:) is a picture message that I cannot post. I wish I knew how!
Good ones:
1. “Tomorrow is another year, another smile, another tear, another winter, another summer too. But there’ll never be another you!! Happy New Year.” This from my sister Abeer in Sharjah.
2. “Wishing you all the treasures of the coming yuear: The wormth of home. The love of family, and the company of good friends. May this year shower you with blessings through & through to you, your family & loved ones.” From a dear friend
3. Happy New Year from Lake Tahoe. We are having record snow, but unfortunately a bit too much. 2 feet came down last night. We have to dig ourselves out each morning now, and it’s STILL snowing!
4. Tonight will be a new begining for a new year, so you to open a new page and have a new start filled with hope, happiness and dreams coming true. Happy New Year to you and your family. My good friend Haitham
5. A relaxed mind, a peaceful soul, a joyful spirit, a healthy body & heart full of love. That is my wish for you. Happy New Year and enjoy the holiday. From a dear collegue: Abdulla Al-Balooshi.
These make my greeting “Wishing you a happy, healthy and wealthy New Year” seem quite uninspiring!
Happy New Year everyone!
Happy 2005!
Happy New Year, Mahmoud, to you and your loved ones, including those dogs. ‘LOVED the story of the new pup! The blog looks GREAT!

Happy 2005!
Mahmood,
I believe in very little. But I do take note of omens of good fortune. I consider it is no co-incidence that little Spider arrived when she did, to bless you all with her affection.
I wish all of the denizens of this speakeasy, all the best in 2005, and may you all find discount every time you try to spend your money.

Happy 2005!
Happy 2005 to everyone and a new year where we all find more to agree about than disagree.

And of course the same greetings to all of the other M.tv readers. It’s been a fun year here on M.tv… to many more!
Happy 2005
Happy New Year Mahmood
I hope you had a pleasant New Years Eve
Yesterday and I hope 2005 will be a pleasant year for
you and your Family.
Re: Happy 2005!
Ah, it’s you who’s responsible from all those hits I get from Israel!! Well done and a happy new year to you and yours as well Tsedek. I hope you have fun here, and learn a little about us as we would love to learn about you too.
Happy New Year and La Chaim!
Re: Happy 2005!
It is indeed Meggie, this was the first shot of a new thing I’ve started (under cover) of posting one new picture a day. They’re all going to be uploaded here. This fantastic Amaryllis was destroyed by the dogs a day after I shot it. I brought these back with me from Amsterdam and I am amazed that they actually grew.
Frances yesterday attacked the garden and planted 100 tulips, 40 petunias, and goodness knows how many other bulbs of various colours, including a three or four shrubs. The reason? Holidays are spent in the garden! AND we finally got the second water tank and its pump installed specifically for the garden, so at least we get water coming out of the hose rather than just drips…
With my new Canon, I take the pictures. She doesn’t let me do too much around the garden, so to spite her I’m going to hire a company to do the full landscaping and rip up all she’s done!! 🙂
Re: Happy 2005!
Amen! Happy new year Steve… keep both barrel loaded though, even though we’re looking for peace! 🙂
Re: Happy 2005!
Thank you very much, keep up with work and blogging at the same time man, having to work too much and no time to blog is a no-no! Happy New Year to you and yours too…
Re: Happy 2005!
Sissy thank you very much. Happy new year to you and the million cats you keep too! 😉
Re: Happy 2005!

Re: Happy 2005!
Ali where have you been?! Happy New Year to you and yours too… don’t keep disappearing like that, it’s scary 😉
Re: Happy 2005!
Thanks Sandee… to you and yours as well. I have a feeling that 2005 I will be driving my old 911-968 a lot more than I have. Plans are already being formed for refurbishment. Will post pictures of the process once it starts.
Safe and happy 2005!
Happy 2005! Day 2
Thank you all for your wishes, I wish you all the same and more. We’re back to work now on 2-2-05, the parties are over and I bet the hangovers have cured themselves by now. So let’s all dig in and make 2005 the best year ever!
Happy 2005!
It’s the 3rd of January and the headache has just stopped…
Just wanted to wish you all a happy and prosperous new year…
I had a lot of fun in 2004 procrastinating and checking the blog for those winded discussions… keep up the good work guys…

Happy 2005!
Same to you, Mahmood! Look forward to your comments in 2005! Jess P.
Re(1): Happy 2005!
Just a thought….
But if we start swapping seeds, might we be in danger of getting you into trouble with your Ministry of Agriculture? I don’t know what regulations apply elsewhere, but I know they are fairly strict in the USA and EU. Something about the protection of indigenous flora. It’s just that I would hate to see you splashed across the front pages of the western tabloids as the ringleader of a gang of international horticultural terrorists….
I can just see the headlines now. “This man shot an unarmed Amaryllis and fed it to his dogs. Now he’s coming after your delphiniums!!!”
Meggie

OOPS!!! Sorry 1 year I had a Customs official give me a hard time and he attempted to deny a bare rooted plant entry. He was overruled by the USDA AG Officer on duty.
